The most beautiful beaches of Guadeloupe

Here are the beaches in Guadeloupe that you should not miss

La Caravelle Beach

Located to the east of Grande-Terre, in the town of Sainte-Anne, La Caravelle beach will appeal to young and old alike, with its calm, shallow water lagoon. Lying on the fine sand, you will be captivated by its waters with shades of blue and green. Without forgetting its coconut palms which are the refuge of countless iguanas.

100 m from the edge, perfect waves will delight surfers. Nothing better than admiring their prowess while eating a coconut that has just been picked for you.

You can also take advantage of the talents of a weaver, who will make you a basket, a hat and many other things in coconut leaf.

Sainte-Anne beach

The Lagoon of Sainte-Anne, on the Atlantic Coast, is the most famous lagoon in Guadeloupe! Its shallow turquoise water and fine white sand are very popular with holidaymakers and locals. You will enjoy lazing on the white sand, lulled by the sound of the waves or even by a melody played on the guitar by Jacob.

For sailing lovers, the Sainte Anne Nautical Center is located on the lagoon, offering everyone the pleasure of discovering water sports, such as traditional sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, etc.

Many beach restaurants and local foodtrucks can be found all along the lagoon.

Anse La Gourde Beach

Located in the east of Guadeloupe in Saint François, in the heart of the Pointe des Châteaux nature reserve, Anse à la Gourde beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Guadeloupe. This beach is a real nursery... Above all, don't forget your fins, your mask and your snorkel, and set off to discover this magnificent aquatic fauna and flora.

Many hikes leave from this beach to discover splendid landscapes up to the Pointe des Châteaux! On the return to St François, you can stop at the "Shower", a magical place where the waves of the Atlantic Ocean come crashing against the cliff, creating the jets of a very cool shower, a real pleasure after a hot day!

Grande Anse Beach

When you see the famous postcards with this immense expanse of yellow sand lined with coconut palms... well, it's Grande Anse Beach.

Everyone has seen it once in their life (postcard, poster, report etc…), it is known all over the world (at least!)

This beach is just sumptuous and magical. It is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in Guadeloupe.

Malendure Beach

Malendure Beach is located west of Basse-Terre, in the town of Bouillante on the Caribbean Sea. This black sand beach is quite atypical. Its always calm and translucent waters and you can see underwater for tens of meters.

Located just opposite the famous Cousteau reserve, you can discover this exceptional aquarium by scuba diving, snorkelling or even by glass-bottom boat. Without going as far as the reserve, you can evolve with turtles!

After sports activities, you can enjoy one of the "Lolos" on the beach (bokits de la mer, acras, grilled fish…), while marveling at a splendid sunset… On Sunday at the end of the day, when the sun hides behind the sea, enjoy the traditional music of the GWO KA (drums) players with a glass of ti punch in your hand… happiness!!!
